When I chose my IVF specialist, I asked, “What are my chances of holding my newborn in my arms?” The answer I got was two per cent. I’d had three recent miscarriages, a subsequent relationship break-up and I was going it alone, with the help of a donor. I knew I had to try, or face regrets. When I conceived, my IVF specialist bumped me up to four per cent. I worried every day. All my miscarriages had occurred at eight weeks. I remember being at work when I noticed signs that my pregnancy was at risk; frantically ringing the IVF clinic which was interstate (where donor laws reduced wait times); being told to get to an obstetrician for an immediate scan; and the wave of relief and incredulity I felt when my obstetrician announced a heart beat. I remember numbly driving to the beach, a brilliant sunset, and balling my eyes out as relief melted into elation and gratitude. From that day onwards, I understood the gift of life.

I have never stopped being grateful for my opportunity to be a parent, which is how I came to be a coach and why I’m a disciplined role model to my daughter.
As an Intention Method coach, through Domonique Bertolucci’s training, my coaching foundation is strong, built on Domonique’s approach to happiness and success. I have a clear vision of the value of coaching and the importance of role models.
Not surprisingly, this discipline to walk my talk along with my motto of love is a verb, has given me a wonderful life full of precious moments as I dig deep to raise a magnificent child to the best of my abilities.
Within NEST, the regular practice of sharing stories and being heard or held safely is foundational. The small group work allows you to learn from others, hear your experience in each other’s story, and speak or be still as you need.
If going through IVF is isolating you from your previous supports – people or routine – then NEST is for you.
If you already hold your child in your arms, you know that you’ve invested a lot into this wonderful outcome. Together, let’s equip you to raise a magnificent child.
If you would like to explore how I can help, book a discovery call.
I’m an award-winning writer and published researcher working towards environmental justice in Australia. In my writing, I’ve explored gender, justice, trauma and healing using embodied creative techniques to develop character. My methods and ideas have been presented at international conferences across a range of fields and now inform my coaching.
When I’m not working, my favourite ways to spend my time are with my daughter exploring nature and reading adventure stories together in bed.
